Hammer toe is a term used to describe a deformity of one or more of the lesser toes where the joint of the toe is bent at the middle aspect. This is due to an imbalance in the muscle control of the toes. Hammer Toe can lead to callus, corns and painful areas on the top/ bottom of the toes.
